The Catholic Foundation provides an annual grant of $85,000 to the Diocese of Lubbock so that it may provide vocations awareness programs, seminarian education, deacon formation and continuing education, priest continuing education, Christian formation, worship programs, youth and family life ministries, the tribunal office, the school superintendent, Catholic communications, retreat centers, prison ministry and support for the 62 parishes in the 25 counties of the diocese.
In 2010 the board of directors voted to also give $10,000 annually in $500, $750 and $1,000 grants to parishes, schools and Catholic Organizations throughout the diocese.
In 2014 the Board of Directors voted to increase the annual grants to parishes, schools and Catholic Organizations to $15,000 in the amount of at least $500, $750 and $1,000 each.
With the distribution of its 2015 grants, the Catholic Foundation has provided over $1 million in operating support to Catholic parishes, schools, organizations and ministries of the Diocese of Lubbock.
